Bigelow Aerospace Creates Expandable Space Homes that could Take Us to Mars

 



  • Robert Bigelow, owner of Bigelow Aerospace, received the license to expandable material in the 1990s from NASA. They dished the idea because they didn't have the right materials to make the product a reality
  • Bigelow however, after many years of work, has finally created the first expandable space homes that are in the process of becoming the next big breakthrough.
  • The expandable home costs $17.8 million per home, however NASA spends nearly double that currently.
  • Bigelow is on the right track, and sooner rather than later, we could saw these homes in action.
